About RF Signal Detector
RF Signal Detector is an iPhone app and a library of practical guides for one purpose: helping ordinary people check a room, a car, or a bag for devices that should not be there.
Who we are
RF Signal Detector is built by NEURASYNC, an independent mobile app studio. We build and maintain a portfolio of utility apps used by people in dozens of countries, and this product is our privacy and personal security line. The same team designs the app, runs the detection research, and writes every guide on this site.
What the app does, in one paragraph
The app turns an iPhone's real sensors into a room-sweep kit: a Bluetooth scanner that finds and identifies nearby devices and trackers, a Wi-Fi network scanner that lists every device on the network you have joined, an infrared lens finder that uses the camera to catch hidden lenses, and a guided checklist that walks you through the physical sweep. It is free to download on the App Store with a free trial.
How our guides are researched
Every guide on this site follows the same rules:
- Physics before promises. We only describe detection methods that phone hardware can genuinely perform, and we say plainly what no app can detect. Our most-read article is an honest answer to whether detector apps work at all.
- Professional sweep logic. Sweep orders and hiding-spot lists are drawn from published technical surveillance countermeasures practice, adapted for non-professionals.
- No fear-mongering. Hidden cameras in rentals are rare. We write for the moment you want certainty, not to make you paranoid.
- Sources checked at publish time. Facts like Airbnb's camera policy, tracker anti-stalking behavior, and legal boundaries are verified against current primary sources when a guide is written or updated, and every guide shows its last update date.
Free tools
Our hidden camera device checker looks up any MAC address against the public IEEE manufacturer registry and flags known camera brands. It runs entirely in your browser; nothing you paste is sent anywhere.
